Sony Michel is coming back.
The Patriots had until Nov. 26 to activate Michel (quad) off the injured list or lose the running back for the season.
“We’ll see. Sony’s been working hard,” Belichick said during a video conference earlier this week. “He’s practiced the last two weeks, so we’ll see how things go this week. But, hopefully.”
It remains to be seen what Michel’s role will look like with the Patriots’ running game rolling in his absence thanks in large part to the emergence of Damien Harris. Harris has gone for 100 yards or more in three of his six starts.
Rex Burkhead has also proven to be very productive, averaging 4.2 yards per carry.
Michel did have his moments before the injury, totaling 117 yards on nine carries against the Raiders before being sidelined.
