(WWJ) Detroit Police are investigating a double shooting on Memorial Day -- one of the victims is a young boy. This incident marks the third time in recent days police have had to investigate the shooting of a small child, after a 3-year-old was shot in her car seat inside her mother's vehicle when adults opened fire nearby, and a 4-year-old was killed in his family home by a drive-by.

The latest shooting happened in the area of 8 Mile and Dequindre.

A 28-year old man was pulling out of the parking lot when he said someone pulled up in a gold sedan and fired multiple shots into the vehicle -- striking him and his 8-year-old passenger.

According to police, another person in the car had gotten into an argument with the shooter earlier at the same location.  The boy is hospitalized in stable condition. The driver is listed as temporary serious condition.
