(WWJ) Evacuations are taking place on Detroit's west side as emergency crews deal with a gas main break.
Five to ten homes near Livernois and Michigan Avenue will be evacuated as a result of a construction crew hitting a gas line at Clayton and Gilbert Street.
People working in the area say the construction workers are putting in new gas lines and hit an existing line. Fire and hazardous materials crews are on scene.
DTE Energy workers have also been called in to investigate. There's no word of any injuries.
