(WWJ) It was a daring and dangerous act at the Mackinac Bridge.

Michigan State Police and the U.S. Coast Guard Investigative Service are seeking information about a pilot who flew a small plane under the "Mighty Mac," early this summer.

Authorities on Wednesday released a video of the flight, shot by Chief Petty Officer John Masson, who was part of a crew on a small Coast Guard boat in the Straits of Mackinac.

Investigators are hoping someone in the public has a photo or better video that might help them to identify plane that went under the bridge on Sunday, June 28, at around 2:50 p.m.

There were hundreds of cars on the bridge at the time, according to MSP, which is calling the stunt "extremely reckless" behavior on the part of the pilot.

It's unclear what charges he or she might face if caught.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to leave an anonymous tip using the Coast Guard Investigation Service’s Tip app, or submit your tip directly at www.p3tips.com.878. Tipsters can also call MSP at 906-643-7582.
