Local Celebrities Strut Their Stuff At Lip Sync Battle

Eight Detroit celebrities put on quite a show at the Royal Oak Music Theater Thursday night to benefit New Day Foundation for Families. 

New Day Foundation for Families is a Rochester Hills, Mich., nonprofit dedicated to alleviating the financial burden of cancer. Through its network of social workers at 36 hospitals across the state, New Day helps families overcome financial barriers to treatment and healing. New Day is often the first light of hope for a family facing cancer. 

Stephen Clark, JoAnne Purtan and Jason Raithiel from 104.3 WOMC, the Blaine Fowler Morning Show on WDVD, 96.3 FM, Mickey York from FOX Sports Detroit, former Detroit Tigers player Andy Dirks, Rachael and Grunwald from 99.5 WYCD, our Jackie Paige, Kim Adams from 98.7 The Breeze and former U of M quarterback Devin Gardner performed to their selected song for cash prizes for a family they represented. Justin Rose from WXYZ 7 Sports Cave hosted. 

Celebrity judges Paul Glantz, founder and chairman of Emagine Theatres and David Van, president of Art Van Pure Sleep, provided commentary and critique and the audience voted by text message.
