DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are trying to sort out details of a shooting at an east side bar that left a man dead.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at a bar in the 17300 block of E Warren, near Cadieux Road.
Police say a 61-year-old man was inside the bar when a man in his 50s pulled out a gun and started shooting. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
Investigators say the men were having some sort of conversation before the shooting, though it's not clear if they were arguing.
One gun was recovered at the scene. It's unclear if the person who fired the shots was acting in self-defense.
An investigation is ongoing.
