Two Oak Park High School Students Killed, Four Injured In Car Crash

(WWJ) The Oak Park School District announced six Oak Park High School students have been involved in a deadly car crash in Southfield, killing two of them.

School officials said they will have psychologists, social workers and grief counselors on hand at Oak Park High School and via phone in the coming days. 

In a statement on Facebook posted around 2 p.m Saturday., school officials said they remain in close contact with the police department and families of the students involved. No details were released about the car crash, including the time or location.

“We are honoring the parents' request to keep specific details confidential, therefore we are waiting to release the names of the students involved and the severity of their injuries,” the statement read. “This is a tragic event that affects our entire school community.”

WDIV reports it happened at 10 Mile and Telegraph Rd., around 9 p.m. Friday. 

The school district promised to release more details once they get permission from the parents and police.
