TAYLOR (WWJ) - Police are patrolling Taylor High School in Taylor following an unconfirmed report of a gun in the building.
Staff members at the school told police they received information that a student may have brought a firearm into the school on Monday.
Police say, however, that no gun has been seen and there is no confirmed threat at this time.
The Taylor Police Department did already have a School Resource Officer inside the high school before the information was received, police said.
While police and Taylor High School administration continue to investigate, police said they will maintain an "obvious presence" at the school throughout the entire day.
No injuries have been reported.
Meanwhile, Farmington High School North in Farmington Hills was on lockdown Monday after a parent and several students told administrators and police about a threatening social media post. There were extra police officers on hand, according to school officials.
