TROY (WWJ) - An Oakland County salon has set aside a day to pamper teachers -- free of charge.
Antoine Saleh, owner of Antoine's Salon of Troy, said teachers preparing to head back into the classroom can come in for what he described as a new trend in hair care: Botox for hair.
Saleh told WWJ Newsradio 950's Brooke Allen why he chose to give teachers a treat.
"I feel like teaching is one of the most important jobs out there, but yet the most underpaid profession," Saleh said. "So therefore we decided at Antoine's Salon we would give back to the community, and who's better than those nourishing our young minds?"
The free offer is good on Tuesday, August 20 only at the salon located at 2838 W Maple Rd., near Coolidge Hwy in Troy.
Saleh said the Botox hair treatment is a deep conditioning, all natural, frizz controlling and humidity-proof.
Best of all, he said: "It will really make their styling time much less and easier in the morning before they get ready to go to school."
There is no charge for the service, advance reservations are required. Interested teachers should send an email to Rgcosmeticsmichigan@gmail.com.
