WYANDOTTE (WWJ) - Authorities are hoping a tip from the public can help them to identify a woman wanted in a trio of Downriver bank robberies.
Crime Stoppers of Michigan on Thursday released a security camera photo of the suspect and suspect vehicle in a robbery on Wednesday, June 12, at the Monroe Bank & Trust on Fort Street at Vinewood in Wyandotte.
Wearing a large hat and sunglasses, the woman presented a note to the teller, according to investigators, and left the scene in a dark colored Chrysler minivan ,possibly dark blue in color. Authorities did not say how much money she got away with.
Crime Stoppers says the same woman seen in the photo is wanted for robbing a Chase Bank in Riverview and a Huntington Bank in Southgate.
As the investigation continues, a cash reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to her arrest.
Anyone who knows recognizes this woman should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (1-800-773-2587). Tips may also be submitted by texting CSM and the tip to CRIMES (2746370). As always, tipsters may stay 100 percent anonymous, will not be asked their names, to speak to police or to testify in court.
