With hundreds of thousands of people out of work during the pandemic, jobs are a hot commodity, and one that Macy's is offering in a unique event.
Macy's is holding a National Holiday Hiring event on Thursday, Oct. 22 to fill seasonal positions at stores, call centers and distribution and fulfillment centers, including more than 700 holiday opportunities in Michigan. A variety of jobs are available with competitive pay, access to flexible scheduling, bilingual work environments, merchandise discounts and the opportunity for bonuses.
To provide a safe and convenient hiring experience for job seekers, Macy’s will conduct all interviews for in-store opportunities by phone. "The quick and convenient process allows seasonal candidates to interview from wherever," the company says in a press release.
And these aren't exact replicas of retail jobs from the past. The company says to support Macy’s convenient shopping experience as it stands today, stores will also offer a new, versatile role focused on picking and packing contact-free curbside pickup and same-day delivery orders.
