(WWJ) A suspect wanted for a murder in broad daylight at a Detroit gas station, which led to the victim's car crashing into the building, remains on the run.
Police say a man was sitting at a BP gas station on E. Outer Drive near Harper around 11:20 a.m. Friday when — seen in a chilling video clip released by police — a suspect in a car drove past and opened fire, before taking off.
The suspect returned "moments later" and shot several more times into the vehicle, killing the victim, according to police. The suspect took off on Wayburn.
After the shooting, the victim’s vehicle “accelerated forward” and crashed into the wall of the gas station.
First responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a light-colored jacket, dark-colored hat, and a light-colored jacket. He was armed with a handgun. He was driving an "older model Chevrolet Suburban or Tahoe."
The victim’s age or identity have not yet been released.
