(WWJ) Two Detroit Police Officers are recovering from a crash on the east side.
Police believe a man fell asleep at the wheel on his way home from work. They say he struck the police cruiser in the turn lane, before crashing into the side of a building.
It happened Saturday evening in the area of Gratiot and Van Dyke.
Both police officers and the driver are expected to make a full recovery. No further details have been released.
