Detroit Police: Two suspects on the run after shooting man in his car

(WWJ) Detroit Police are ramping up the search for two suspects who shot a man while he was sitting in his car on the city’s east side.

Police said the victim, 43, was in his car with a friend on Bradford at Lappin around 10:50 p.m. Friday. The two suspects approached him and spoke to him.

The victim attempted to pull away but could not escape in time. The suspects fired multiple shots, striking him, police said.

He drove himself to the hospital. He is listed in temporary serious condition. His friend was not injured.

Suspect #1 is described as “a black male, with a thin build, light complexion and wearing a bandana.”

Suspect #2 is described as “a black male, with a heavy build.”

Their relationship to the victim, if any, is not known.
