(WWJ) The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspected homicide in Pontiac.

Deputies and EMS responded shortly before 10 a.m. to D’Anton’s Coney Island, on W. Huron Street on a report of a 26-year-old Waterford Township man found dead in the parking lot.

The victim's friend reported that he and the man's sister were searching for him Wednesday when they found his body in a car in the parking lot.

Officials said the man had suffered an gunshot wound, was clearly beyond help, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The OCSO Forensic Science Laboratory, an investigator from the Oakland County Coroner’s Office and detectives were called to the scene, and continue to investigate.

Meanwhile, there are no suspects in the case, and a possible motive for the killing is unknown.

The man's name has not yet been released.
