Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram has been named a finalist for the NBA's Most Improved Player Award, the league announced Saturday morning.
Ingram joins Dallas' Luka Doncic and Miami's Bam Adebayo as finalists for the award.
Ingram was traded to the Pelicans as part of the deal that sent Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers in the offseason. The forward averages 23.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game this year. Those numbers are up from 18.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3 assists per game in 2018-19.
Ingram's improved production is part of the reason the Pelicans are competing for a playoff spot.
