The Louisiana Department of Health estimates 42,225 people have recovered from COVID-19, an increase of 2,433 recoveries since last week's most-recent estimate.
With 57,081 total cases reported and 3,091 deaths, that leaves an estimated 11,765 still battling the disease -- up 4,327 from last week.
Deaths increased five from yesterday. Total cases since then increased 845.
737 people are hospitalized, which is a net increase of 22 since yesterday. And 79 patients need ventilators to help them breathe, up three from yesterday.
