The city of New Orleans lifts parking restrictions ahead of potential street flooding.

Heavy rainfall is expected for the New Orleans metro area so city officials are allowing residents to park their vehicles up on neutral grounds and sidewalks.

Drivers are asked not to block intersections or streetcar tracks.
