Saints should be able to handle Minnesota, says analyst

The Saints may not like it, but playing in the Wild Card round is better than sitting at home in January. And their first-round match up looks good for them, according to WWL NFL analyst Mike Detillier.

The Saints will host the Minnesota Vikings, who finished the season 10-6, including losing their last two.

"I think the Saints take care of business against Minnesota," said Detillier. "The key here is stopping the run. Force Kirk Cousins to be the guy to beat you. That's going to be a key part of this game plan."

Detillier said making the Vikings try and win the game through the air is a sold game plan, and if they can do that, he expects the Saints to move on from this round of the playoffs.

The Saints opened as a touchdown favorite over Minnesota. Kickoff is set gor Sunday at 12:05 p.m.
