The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Cristobal will bring deteriorating conditions to Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida starting tonight.
"Cristobal is moving toward the north near 12 mph, and this general motion is expected to continue for the next day or so," the Hurricane Center advised. "Cristobal's center is then forecast to move inland across Louisiana late Sunday through Monday morning, and northward across Arkansas and Missouri Monday afternoon into Tuesday."
As of 1:00pm, the storm had maximum sustained winds near 50 mph with higher gusts.
"Some slow strengthening is forecast until landfall occurs on the northern Gulf coast. Weakening will begin once Cristobal moves inland late Sunday and Monday."
Top sustained winds are forecast to be around 60mph at landfall.
