Joe Burrow claimed another record in the first half of LSU's matchup at Ole Miss. Burrow broke Rohan Davey’s single-season record of 3,347 passing yards after he finished the first half of Saturday night’s game with 319 yards.

Burrow also threw three touchdown passes in the first half moving him into second place, past JaMarcus Russell, on LSU’s list of career touchdown passes with 53.

In the process of climbing those lists, Burrow connected with receiver Ja’Marr Chase six times for 152 yards and two scores.

Chase’s two first half touchdown grabs gave him 12 on the year tying Dwayne Bowe’s 2006 single season record. Chase also became the first LSU receiver to tally over 1,000 yards receiving in a single season since 2013 when Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. both accomplished the feat.
