LSU remained the top team in the College Football Playoff rankings after a 58-37 win against Ole Miss Saturday.
The Tigers moved into the top spot last week after defeating the then 3rd-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. LSU (10-0, 6-0) was second in the initial poll.
Ohio State, which had the top spot in the first poll, once again earned the No. 2 ranking. Clemson and Georgia held at No. 3 and 4, respectively.
Alabama remained at No. 5 despited losing Heisman trophy candidate and starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for the rest of the season and Orgeron was No. 6.
LSU will look to protect its ranking Saturday night in Tiger Stadium when they host the Arkansas Razorbacks.
