The New Orleans Saints continued their trend of paying players they're familiar with as they've agreed to terms with free agent cornerback P.J. Williams.
Williams, entering his sixth season in the NFL, returns to the Saints on a one-year deal, according to the Saints Twitter acocount.
The former third-round pick provides depth and versatility in the Saints secondary. He showed his value last season when he was pressed into action at safety, due to injuries at the posisiton, and faired well. Williams has 4 interceptions in 47 career games with the Saints.
Bobby "The Cajun Cannon" Hebert likes the decision to bring him back.
"There is a value to players you know well," Hebert said. "The Saints drafted him and they know where he fits in. He's not a new face, and he's been steady in his time with the Saints."
