Even with the limited draft capital the New Orleans Saints have headed into the 2019 NFL Draft, General Manager Mickey Loomis says the team could still be aggressive and make deals to get themselves into an earlier position… if the right player falls.
“What we’re looking at is what if player X, Y or Z dropped all the way down into a range that we could trade for,” Loomis said. “I think that’s more the what-if scenarios that we’re playing through our minds. What happens if a player we really coveted didn’t get picked in the first 25 picks? Now we’re within range of being able to trade from 62 up to that area. Look, it’s unlikely, but we have to prepare for those kinds of scenarios.”
