The Saints sit home today on their bye week with eight more games looming when they get back to work. The voice of the Saints Zach Strief pinpoints a game that is clearly the highlight of the second half of the season - a December date with the NFC-leading San Francisco 49ers.

"I do think the Saints match up really well to that football team," Strief said. "I think [the 49ers] struggle offensively in that football game. I think the Saints come out with a big win in a game that is shaping up to be huge."

The Niners are currently 8-0 with the Saints right behind at 7-1.

Strief said the Saints will face another tough December test when the Indianapolis Colts visit for a Monday night showdown.

"I think that the Colts match up with the Saints pretty well," Strief said. "I still think the Saints are a better football team."

The Colts are currently the second-ranked team in the AFC. The Saints' next opponent though comes a week from today in the Superdome when they host the rival Atlanta Falcons. You can hear the full audio of Strief's season breakdown by clicking the podcast link.
