One thing holding up some of the aid from Congress is the issue of whether or not businesses should have some extra protection from lawsuits relative to COVID-19. Pope is an HR and benefits attorney and founder and CEO of Work Shield, which helps employers address workplace issues before they escalate into expensive lawsuits.
