The Saints were able to keep defensive tackle David Onyemata in Black and Gold, giving the 27-year old defensive tackle a 3 year, $27 million deal.  He said there were a few other suitors for his services in free agency, but New Orleans has become home since getting drafted in the 4th round in 2016.

“The culture, the coaching staff, my teammates. Certain things meant a lot to me out here.”

Onyemata’s game is all about strength and applying pressure.  He put up 7.5 sacks and 17 quarterback hits over the past two seasons and moved into the Saints’ starting lineup on a full-time basis a year ago.
