The New York Post’s report that Drew Brees has agreed to join NBC Sports following his retirement did not shock WWL’s Bobby Hebert.
“Great for Drew; that does not surprised me,” said the Cajun Cannon. “But, I know he's still worried about playing and trying to get that second Super Bowl.”
Brees is about to enter his 20th season in the NFL, 15th in New Orleans. Even though it “feels” like 2020 is one last run for future Hall-of-Fame quarterback, Hebert says NOT SO FAST.
“It doesn't mean he's only going to play one season then go to NBC, or play 2 seasons. He’ll still be in-demand. He has a great personality and has a lot of wisdom and I think he's comfortable behind the camera.”
