Late in the 4th quarter of the Saints win over the Buccaneers, wide receiver Michael Thomas got rolled up on a bit and limped off the field.  He did not come back for another snap and the NFL Network is reporting that Can’t Guard Mike is dealing with a high-ankle injury.

#Saints star WR Michael Thomas suffered a high-ankle injury in Sunday’s win over the #Bucs, but it’s something he believes he can play through, sources tell me and @RapSheet. With an extra day before next Monday’s game vs. #Raiders, nobody ruling Thomas out.

Having a game on Monday could help Thomas get enough time to rest and recoup to be ready to take on the Las Vegas Raiders, but high-ankle issues have a notorious tendency to linger.

“We’ll keep track and monitor how he’s feeling,” said head coach Sean Payton. “Always the day after a game you’ve got a number of players down in the training room. Outside of that, we’re not going to really touch on any of the injuries.”

Here’s the play where #Saints WR Michael Thomas injures his left ankle. Very fortunate to have his foot not stay in contact with the ground, otherwise he’s looking at a serious injuryFully expect him to push to play in Week 2pic.twitter.com/r6xDKDH8rS
