I could, and would, eat birthday cake every morning…EVERY morning for breakfast. I could, and would, end lunch and dinner with a GIANT bowl of ice cream. The meals preceding the ice cream would consist of poboys, french fries, fried seafood, steak and…well you get the idea.
I obviously can’t because I would die pretty quickly, and the pants company wouldn’t be able to make new ones fast enough. So…I don’t give into my cravings, and I try to stay on the dietary straight and narrow.
I’ve learned a couple of things about weight loss. You must control what you eat. You must exercise. And you must never, ever DIET.
That’s why so many people, myself included, keep losing and gaining the same twenty pounds. You must commit to completely changing your eating habits. You can’t diet; you have to CHANGE your diet. I would add forget the scale and the way you look; if you eat for the health benefits the appearance and weight factors will take care of themselves.
