LSU’s new defensive coordinator Daronte Jones is set to make $1.3 million per year, according to a report from The Athletic’s Brody Miller.
Miller also reports that Jones will receive a one-time payment of $150,000 and has performance incentives.
LSU announced the hiring of the former Vikings assistant Tuesday. Jones just completed his first season as Minnesota’s defensive backs coach after spending time with the Bengals and Dolphins.
Jones, coached with former LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda for one season at Wisconsin and also had stints at Nicholls State and at the High school level (Jeanerette and Franklin).
