With no fans present for the Saints’ first two games, New Orleans coach Sean Payton said the games are a lot like playing little league.
“It's a lot like when you were playing Pop Warner football, and you can hear your mom on every play, if she wants to yell at you,” Payton said.
On Sunday that might actually be the case as the team will allow up to 750 family members of players in to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for the Sunday night matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
"No, that's cool, right? So, little league, high school, that's the purest level of football,” Saints linebacker Craig Robertson said. “You're playing for your brothers, you're playing for your family in the stands. You can see your family in the stands at most high schools.
“And so just to be able to maybe hear your mom or your dad or brother, maybe kids for some of us, that's always going to be a special moment that you'll be able to have for the rest of your life. So, that'll be something cool.”
