Michael Thomas to miss 5th straight game, Saints WR ruled out for Sunday


The Saints will not have their #1 or #2 wide receivers on Sunday. Emmanuel Sanders is in quarantine dealing with the coronavirus, while Michael Thomas is out after missing the past two days of practice with an ankle and hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, Bennie Fowler's shoulder injury has landed him on injured reserve so he will no the helping the WR corps. With Tre'Quan Smith, Marquez Callaway and Deonte Harris as the only healthy receivers on the 53-man roster, Austin Carr and Juwan Johnson could be brought up from the practice squad.

Guard Nick Easton, who suffered a concussion in week 5, is also out for Sunday. Safety JT. Gray is questionable with a hamstring issue.

As for Sunday’s opponent, the 3-3 Carolina Panthers, they have four players listed as questionable:

CB Eli Apple (hamstring)

CB Donte Jackson (toe)

G John Miller (ankle)

WR Curtis Samuel (knee)
