Business: Walmart to offer COVID-19 vaccines

More and more households are falling behind on rent. According to the most recent Census survey, more than 10 million households, or nearly one-fourth of the nation’s renters, are behind. A Moody's Analytics report shows that Americans owe a collective $57 billion in back rent. The typical delinquent renter will owe $5,600 as they will be almost four months behind.

Walmart stores in Louisiana, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, South Carolina and Texas will offer Covid-19 vaccinations starting next week. The vaccines will be administered to groups that state health officials have deemed most in need of inoculation.

A critical shortage of containers is driving up shipping costs and delays for goods purchased from China. Desperate companies are waiting weeks for containers, and pay premium rates to get them, causing shipping costs to skyrocket. Compared with last March’s low prices, freight rates from China to the U.S. and Europe have surged 300%.
