JP council to discuss possible date for Mardi Gras 2021

The Jefferson Parish Council is set to discuss the future of Mardi Gras amid the pandemic.

The council is expected to take up the topic at today’s parish council meeting.

The council will discuss possibly allowing parade krewes to roll in May around Memorial Day weekend.

Previously the council was set to discuss changing the Mardi Gras date during the December 10th council meeting, but it was deferred to today’s meeting.

The Council meeting is set for 10:00 a.m.
