Louisiana Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin announced a downloadable ‘I Voted’ digital sticker for voters to display on social media.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions a physical ‘I Voted’ sticker will not be given out to people who vote in person at the polling locations.
Instead, they can download and share a digital sticker. Voters are also encouraged to share the sticker on social media using the hashtag #GeauxVoteLouisiana.
“Knowing the excitement voters have for 'I Voted' stickers, we wanted to make sure there was a way for voters to express their pride in voting,” Secretary Ardoin said. “So in the midst of a pandemic, we introduce the Louisiana version of an electronic “I Voted” sticker.”
Early voting began Friday and runs through Tuesday October 27. Friday October 30 is the deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail. Voters can also request an absentee ballot online by clicking here.
