CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) —The list of states that Chicago considers relatively safe to travel to has grown short, really short.
Only three states are considered low-risk in the city’s latest emergency travel order: Hawaii, Maine and Vermont.
City officials advise people not to travel to every other state and Puerto Rico because of their coronavirus metrics compared with Chicago.
Anyone traveling to these locations is expected to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in Chicago or receive a negative coronavirus test before coming here.
Chicago posts a color-coded U.S. map online. Even though Hawaii, Maine and Vermont have low coronavirus metrics, city officials still advise people against “non-essential” travel there.
